For the past few months i have been making my own toothpaste,  with just a couple of ingredients from the pantry.  Simple and awesome, not only does it not burn my poor little tongue it’s super whitening.

What you’ll need

Combine equal amounts of coconut oil and bicarb soda in a bowl and mix well.
You can add a few drops of peppermint essence for a minty taste
and a some stevia drops for a little sweetness
I keep mine simple the taste dosen’t bother me.
Store in a jar baby food jars are a perfect size

  • Wet your toothbrush
  • Dip into jar of paste
  • Brush your teeth for a few minutes
  • Spit (doesn’t really foam up like normal toothpaste) and rinse
  • May be a little salty but you will get used to it
  • Your teeth will feel super clean, like you have just had the cleaned at the dentist.

Coconut oil is antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti fungal, all great for fighting off tooth decay and mouth cleaning. Baking Soda is a mild abrasive agent which aids in cleaning and whitening the teeth and restoring pH balance.

Enjoy
